Kelly Clarkson joins Brandi Carlile at Girls Just Wanna Weekend 2027

With Kelly Clarkson joining Brandi Carlile on the line-up, Girls Just Wanna Weekend 2027 gives fans another reason to head to Mexico for several days of live music. Clarkson and Sierra Ferrell will headline alongside Carlile when the festival returns to Barceló Maya Resort from 14–18 January 2027 for its eighth edition. The programme brings together major performances and the festival’s all-inclusive resort format, giving fans much more to look forward to than a single concert night.

Girls Just Wanna Weekend 2027 dates and location

Set in Mexico’s Riviera Maya, Barceló Maya Resort provides the setting for a weekend built around music, community, and time by the Caribbean. Rather than travelling between a hotel and a separate festival site, guests can experience concerts, dining, and resort life within the same destination.

The event spans five calendar dates, but its evening music programme runs across four nights. Pool Stage performances take place from Friday to Sunday, with the main performance windows outlined below.

Exact set times will be shared closer to the event. These dates describe the overall programme rather than individual performance slots for Kelly Clarkson, Brandi Carlile, or Sierra Ferrell.

Kelly Clarkson joins Brandi Carlile for a headline-worthy weekend

Kelly Clarkson’s Girls Just Wanna Weekend appearance is a headline booking in its own right. She joins Carlile and Sierra Ferrell at the top of the bill, giving fans three headline artists to look forward to within one event.

For Clarkson fans, the appeal is easy to understand: come for her performance, then use the rest of the weekend to discover the artists around her. For returning festival guests, her addition offers another reason to be excited about a gathering already shaped by Carlile’s musical taste and sense of community.

Carlile curates the festival’s four days of music, centring women and non-binary artists across poolside performances and evening concerts. That personal approach gives the weekend a different feel from a standard tour stop, with the wider programme encouraging fans to explore beyond their original favourites.

Girls Just Wanna Weekend 2027 lineup: More artists to look forward to

The Girls Just Wanna Weekend 2027 lineup goes well beyond its three headliners. The Beaches, CMAT, Allison Russell, Brandy Clark, and Lucius feature among the announced performers, with further musical appearances and comedy adding variety to the programme.

Additional special guests and activities are still to be announced.

A good way to approach the bill is to choose a few must-see artists, then leave room for discovery. Listen to someone unfamiliar before the event, compare favourites with your friends, and resist the temptation to plan every moment around one performance. The names further down your personal list might become the ones you talk about most afterwards.

Poolside sets, Brandi-oke, and the spirit of Brandi Land

At Brandi Carlile’s Girls Just Wanna Weekend, the time between headline performances is part of the appeal. Daytime Pool Stage sets offer a more relaxed setting before the evening concerts, while Brandi-oke, the festival’s karaoke tradition hosted by Carlile, brings another kind of audience participation into the mix.

For the eighth edition, the Pool Stage is moving to the Riviera Pool. The new setting allows guests to watch from the water, surrounding deck or beach, with the move intended to improve the viewing experience and crowd flow. A live set with your feet in the pool is quite a change from a conventional concert venue.

The wider programme includes community events, artist-curated activities, and workshops. Specific additions for 2027 are still being announced, but the focus is clear: give guests reasons to connect beyond simply standing in front of a stage.

That sense of belonging is central to Brandi Land. The festival emphasises an inclusive environment for all attendees, with particular attention to its predominantly LGBTQ+ audience. Whether you arrive with friends or on your own, the shared enthusiasm for music is an easy place to begin a conversation.

Girls Just Wanna Weekend tickets and all-inclusive packages

Searching for Girls Just Wanna Weekend tickets? The key detail is that this is a package-based event. Concert access is sold together with resort accommodation, and individual concert tickets are not available. Attending Clarkson’s performance therefore means joining the wider event rather than purchasing a separate ticket for her set.

This format makes the accommodation part of the festival experience, not just somewhere to sleep afterwards. Your chosen package establishes where you stay, how many nights are included, and the resort facilities available to you.

What do the event packages include?

Published Girls Just Wanna Weekend packages at Barceló Maya Resort offer four-, five- or six-night stays. Their core inclusions cover:

• All-inclusive accommodation: Food and beverages, alongside access to the relevant resort amenities.
• Festival programming: Main Stage and Pool Stage performances, plus curated activities throughout the weekend.
• Event extras: Round-trip airport transportation on event shuttles and an official welcome gift.

The details still matter when comparing options. Resort access varies by accommodation category, while spa treatments, off-site excursions, and certain premium dining items are among the extras that can fall outside the package.

The October announcement reported limited remaining packages, with additional rooms added at Barceló Maya Palace. That makes it worth checking suitable options early, while confirming the availability and inclusions of any proposed package rather than assuming a particular room remains available.
