Oktoberfest returns to Munich’s Theresienwiese from 19 September to 4 October 2026, bringing together Bavarian traditions, festival tents, live music, fairground attractions, and some of the event’s most recognisable ceremonies. The programme opens with the arrival of the Oktoberfest landlords and breweries, followed by the ceremonial first barrel tapping at the Schottenhamel tent. Other highlights include the traditional costume and marksmen’s parade, the Oktoberfest church service, and the festival bands’ concert. With 17 large and 21 small festival tents alongside the historic Oide Wiesn, Oktoberfest 2026 offers experiences ranging from traditional celebrations to lively evenings in the tents.
